Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov: Good afternoon,
We are here today in the Chief Intelligence Directorate’s new headquarters. We began building this ultramodern complex three years ago. Today we can give you the chance to see for yourselves part of the finished work. Of course, we cannot show you everything, because there are certain parts of the building where journalists are not permitted entry, and I hope you will understand the reasons for this.
Not only the most advanced construction technologies were used in this building’s construction, but also numerous high-technology complexes drawing on the latest achievements in IT technology, various information systems and micro-climate systems. I think that as well as providing our officers with good working conditions, this building also offers excellent conditions for sports and physical culture activities.
Overall, this is a fully autonomous building, where people can live, work and rest all within a single space.
