Zelenograd is one of Russia’s leading scientific and technological centres. It has 10 big industrial plants, 13 research institutes, and more than 200 small scientific and industrial firms, including the Micron plant, the Elma science and production association, Komponent, Kvant and Elion companies. All plants and institutes are part of a technological chain: scientific centre – experimental plant – serial production. Zelenograd has a unique intellectual potential. More than half of its population of 100,000 are connected in some way with electronics.
