It gives me pleasure to greet the participants and guests at the VIII World Congress of the Russian-language Press.
This forum, as has now become tradition, brings together media, public and state representatives from many different countries to exchange experience and views on important professional issues. Chief among them are the participation of the Russian-language press in forming the global information space, the consolidation of its position on the media market and full and objective coverage of events taking place in Russia and throughout the world. The World Russian-language Press Association plays an important part in pursuing these goals.
I am sure that the dialogue between Russian and foreign media representatives, their creative energy and initiatives, will contribute to realising interesting projects for the future in information and communications, developing contacts between peoples and countries and promoting Russian language and culture abroad.
I wish you constructive work together, success and all the very best.
