Oksana Kardash, winner of the 2021 Presidential Prize for Young Culture Professionals

The prize was awarded for her outstanding performance skills and development of national choreographic traditions.

Oksana Kardash, a ballet dancer, is a leading master at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre.

Olga Kardash was born on April 29, 1987, in Moscow. She is a citizen of the Russian Federation. Merited Artist of the Russian Federation.

She was admitted to the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre immediately after graduation from the Natalia Nesterova Institute of Choreography in 2005.

Her repertoire includes the most difficult classical and contemporary ballet roles. She performs brilliantly in ballets of the theatre's ”golden portfolio“ and invariably takes part in the most important ballet premieres.

Her undoubted talent as an actor combines a fiery temperament and a heartfelt lyricism and her unique characters leave no one indifferent.

Olga Kardash is one of the most interesting ballerinas of the Moscow stage, with her bright personality and flawless technique. She is at the peak of her artistic expression and in the best professional shape.

Sofia Kiprskaya, winner of the 2021 Presidential Prize for Young Culture Professionals

The prize was awarded for her contribution to the development and popularisation of the traditions of the Russian harp school.

Sofia Kiprskaya is an orchestra artist – a soloist with the State Academic Mariinsky Theatre.

Sofia Kiprskaya was born on April 29, 1991, in Leningrad. She is a citizen of the Russian Federation. Winner of international, Russia’s national and regional music competitions.

She graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov St Petersburg State Conservatory. In 2008, while still in her final year of study at the Specialised School of Music of the St Petersburg Conservatory, she became the youngest soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra. Since 2011, she has been the leader of the orchestra's harp section. She frequently performs recitals, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician and she was the first to perform works by contemporary composers for the harp.

She is extensively involved in research, education and teaching. She is an initiator and organiser of the Northern Lyre Harp Festival and a Co-Chair of the World Harp Congress. At her suggestion, the event is to be held in Russia for the first time in 2024.

Sofia Kiprskaya is a brilliant professional, a worthy successor to the traditions of the Russian harp school, an educator and promoter of unknown pages of musical heritage.

Dmitry Serdyuk, winner of the 2021 Presidential Prize for Young Culture Professionals

The prize is awarded for his contribution to the development of Russian theatrical art, for the preservation and promotion of Russia's historical and cultural heritage.

Dmitry Serdyuk, an actor and director, Moscow.

He was born on February 18, 1990, in Kharkov. Citizen of the Russian Federation. Received the Commendation from the Department of Culture of the Moscow City Government and other professional awards.

After graduating from the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts in 2010, he was admitted to the Moscow Drama Theatre on Malaya Bronnaya, where he has played in fourteen premieres over the course of ten years. Since 2013, he has performed in productions of the State Theatre of Nations.

Highlights of his theatrical life include his roles in Woe from Wit (Chatsky), Ivanov (Lvov) and The Master and Margarita (Yeshua Ha-Notsri).

Since 2016, as part of the programme ”Our Everything“ by the State Theatre of Nations, Dmitry Serdyuk has been staging his director’s projects dedicated to classics of Russian literature: Brodsky, Akhmatova. The Witness, Turgenev. The Metaphysics of Love. He staged the Through My Eyes play to mark the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The production is based on documents, soldiers' letters, memories of survivors of the war, and excerpts from literary works.

Dmitry Serdyuk is a unique actor, a virtuoso, extremely versatile and well-educated. His productions have an important educational mission, reminding audiences not only of the works of great writers, but also of universal values and moral guidelines, which influence the shaping of personality.
