Alexei Kapustin is a winner of the 2024 Presidential Prize for Young Cultural Workers
The Presidential Prize was awarded for the contribution to the preservation and development of the traditions of Russian architecture.
Alexei Kapustin is the director of the Research& Design Centre for Classical and Traditional Architecture at the Moscow Architectural Institute.
Kapustin was born in Moscow on February 7, 1993. He is the recipient of professional and non-government awards. He graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute. He is a lecturer and an Associate Professor at the Moscow Institute of Architecture, and an Advisor for the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences.
The main focus of Mr Kapustin’s work is revival and development of traditional architecture, restoration and renovation of lost cultural monuments, as well as design of new sites in the spirit of historical traditions.
Alexei Kapustin is the author of implemented projects to renovate historical buildings, to beautify memorial parks, museum spaces, historic urban areas and monasteries that include historical centres of urban and rural areas, Arzamas-Sarov-Diveyevo cluster, Pskov-Pechersk Monastery, churches in Moscow, the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and destroyed churches in Novorossiya.
Alexei Kapustin is an organiser and expert of federal and international forums, and the Temple Architecture Exhibition held as part of Russia International Forum and Exhibition at VDNKh. He is also the author of scientific articles and textbooks, and a populariser of architecture.
Ivan Nikiforchin is a winner of the 2024 Presidential Prize for Young Cultural Workers

Ivan Nikiforchin serves as Artistic Director of the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra.
Ivan Nikiforchin was born in Moscow on February 15, 1995. He graduated from the Moscow State Conservatoire (2020) and completed postgraduate studies at the Conservatoire (2022). He is a winner of all-Russian and international competitions and has been recognised with prestigious international awards.
Mr Nikiforchin is one of the most sought-after young musicians with a unique perception of sound, musical plasticity and movement, and a high ensemble culture. He is the founder of the Academy of Russian Music, which is a unique ensemble that combines a choir and a chamber orchestra and has performed a large number of premieres over the past seven years that are marked by a compelling repertoire and high quality of performance.
The ensembles with which the conductor constantly works include the country’s leading orchestras and outstanding solo musicians.
Ivan Nikiforchin is a musical director and stage director at the Bolshoi Theatre and the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Musical Theatre. He is a lecturer at the Opera and Symphony Conducting Department of the Moscow State Conservatoire.
In 2024, he was appointed Artistic Director of the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra, which is one of the oldest academic ensembles in Russia.
Renata Shakirova is a winner of the 2024 Presidential Prize for Young Cultural Workers
The Presidential Prize was awarded for preserving and multiplying the traditions of Russian choreographic art, and contributing to popularisation of the Russian art.
Renata Shakirova is a ballet dancer and prima ballerina of the State Academic Mariinsky Theatre.
Renata Shakirova was born in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, on April 5, 1995. She graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet (2015). She received the award of the Union of Theatre Workers of Russia, the Golden Borer Light award, and won the Bolshoi Ballet television project at the Rossiya Kultura television channel.
While still a student, she performed solo roles in Mariinsky Theatre ballets. Over the nine years of her stage career, she has performed leading roles in many productions at the Mariinsky Theatre repertoire, demonstrating the best traditions of the St Petersburg school, emotionality, and artistry.
Her unique innate talents and good professional training allow her to easily cope with technical complexities of classical and contemporary choreography.
The ballerina creates interesting interpretations of classical roles ranging from charismatic Kitri in Don Quixote, free-spirited Carmen in Carmen Suite, shining Ruby in Jewels, impetuous Juliet, dreamy Masha in The Nutcracker, and tender Shirin in The Legend of Love.
Renata Shakirova regularly takes part in performances at the Mariinsky Theatre’s Primorsky Stage [Vladivostok], and charity concerts.
