In upgrading the draft document on the basic principles of the state culture policy, the Presidential Executive Office, together with the Presidential Council for Culture and the Arts, has been instructed to take into account the provisions of the National Ethnic Policy Strategy through to 2025 concerning implementing objectives in culture.
Instructions to the Cabinet concern, in part, civil, patriotic, and spiritual and moral education of children and youth; preventing and suppressing activities aimed at inciting Nazi ideology, and the glorification of crimes committed by Nazis and their accomplices; developing the Youth of Russia federal targeted programme; improving the Patriotic Education of Russian Citizens in 2011–2014 state programme and extending it through to 2020.
The Cabinet was also instructed to present suggestions on holding a census in 2015 in the Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol in accordance with the Russian Census Programme of 2010.
The Cabinet has been instructed, with participation by the Presidential Council for Russian Language and the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations, to develop and approve a set of measures aimed at improving national policy on developing, protecting and supporting the Russian language.
Executive authorities in Russia’s federal constituent entities received recommendations to develop and approve a set of measures to promote traditional cultures of the peoples of Russia, making provision for financial support for friendship houses, folk art houses and youth theatres.
