The talks began with a private conversation between the leaders, after which the international consultations continued in an expanded format involving the delegations of the two countries.
The Russian side was represented by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office – Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, Aide to the President Yury Ushakov, Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shugayev, Deputy Minister of Defence Alexander Fomin, General Director of Rosgeologiya Sergei Gorkov and General Director of Rosoboronexport Alexander Mikheyev.
The agenda includes the state and future of bilateral cooperation in various sectors, as well the expansion of Russia’s ties with Central African countries in view of Equatorial Guinea’s presidency of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS).
