At the Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant, the President inspected the products manufactured there as part of the state defence order.
The President also visited the Robotics Factory, an enterprise that is engaged in the serial production and assembly of 6-axis industrial robotic manipulators. He visited an exhibit of import-substitution parts for industrial robots, as well as samples of civilian products. Plant Director Andrei Gartung conducted the tour and told the President about the personnel training system for the plant and the industry.
The Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant is one of the leading machine manufacturers. Founded in 1942, it produces parts for the auto industry, tractors, railway equipment and the oil-and-gas sector. The plant employs over 18,000 people and carries out an intensive training programme for manual workers and engineers in cooperation with secondary vocational and higher education institutions.
During the visit, the President was accompanied by Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Presidential Aide Maxim Oreshkin, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Urals Federal District Vladimir Yakushev, and Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Alexei Teksler.
