Vladimir Putin congratulated Director General of the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Centre Alexei Varochko on his 70th birthday.
The message reads, in part:
“Over the years of your professional activity, you have established yourself as a major researcher, designer, and one of the creators of advanced models of launch rocket and space complexes, primarily the legendary Angara.
Of course, I would like to emphasise your highly sought-after and responsible work at the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Centre, where your career began half a century ago. Today, thanks in large part to your exceptional competence and leadership talent, the Centre’s team is confidently addressing the existing tasks, making a truly unique contribution to the development of the national space rocket industry, and strengthening the country’s defence capability and national security.”
