The Israeli Prime Minister expressed his sincere gratitude to Russia for its quick and efficient response to Israel’s call for help with the relief operation following a large-scale disaster.
Binyamin Netanyahu described Russia’s role in extinguishing wildfires in Israel as central and noted the high technological level of Russian aircraft and special equipment, as well as the professionalism of the Russian specialists.
Dmitry Medvedev expressed satisfaction that the wildfires have been extinguished through coordinated efforts and once again expressed his condolences over the tragic loss of life and sympathy to all those affected, and wished for a speedy elimination of the disaster’s consequences.
The Russian President and Israeli Prime Minister discussed cooperation in disaster management, including the prospect of adopting a systemic approach to such cooperation.
The future plans for bilateral contacts were also reviewed.
