The Government of the Russian Federation, with the assistance of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian Historical Society, the Russian Military Historical Society, the Russian Geographical Society, leading universities and interested research organisations, Znaniye (Knowledge) Russian Society and the Russian Movement of School Students, and in cooperation with the Interdepartmental Commission on Historical Education, was instructed to organise a comprehensive revision of the system of teaching history at the general education level.
The Government also received instructions to allocate additional federal funding for the Okean National Children’s Centre development programme in 2021–2022, including the upgrading of a bus fleet for children; major repairs and new equipment at two summer centres; and the development of infrastructure required for holding the Seventh Children of Asia International Sports Games in 2022.
Instructions for the Ministry of Education together with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Russian Movement of School Students, concern the large-scale involvement of students in a scientific and technical-creative quest under the academic supervision of universities, research organisations and high-tech companies.
Regional government bodies were advised to provide support for school educational tourism, in part, by organising routes in each Russian region to familiarise children with the history, culture, traditions and nature of the corresponding region, and the personalities that made a tangible contribution to its development.
