The Agreement was signed in Moscow on January 19, 2008.
The Agreement sets a legal framework for the two sides’ coordinated efforts for ensuring proper command of the regional grouping of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. It also outlines common outlooks on and approaches to coordinated communication planning for the regional force grouping.
Implementation of the Agreement will allow to integrate and jointly operate the existing communications systems of the Russian and Belarusian Armed Forces employed by the regional force grouping, and determine directions for their further development. This process is in the full interests of Russia.
