The protocol provides for the replacement of Section II of the Annex “General Assistance Provisions” to the Agreement.
In accordance with this change, the parties on a reciprocal basis waive any possible claims or the right to instigate legal proceedings for losses or damages of any kind arising from activities undertaken pursuant to the Agreement, except where such damages were caused deliberately.
The Protocol provides for a special procedure for bilateral consultations to resolve situations involving the intentional infliction of damage.
