The agreement was signed in Manila on November 13, 2017.
The agreement was drafted with due regard to current international contractual practice, international standards, and in accordance with Russian Federation laws, in order to create an international legal framework for cooperation between Russia and the Philippines on extradition issues.
Under the agreement, the Parties undertake, on a reciprocal basis, to extradite, upon request of either Party, individuals who are located on the other party’s territory, for criminal prosecution or execution of a sentence for crimes committed and involving an imprisonment for at least one year or a heavier sentence.
