In accordance with Part 5, Article 8 of Federal Constitutional Law No. 7-FKZ dated October 4, 2022, On Accepting the Zaporozhye Region as Part of the Russian Federation and the Formation of a New Constituent Entity, the Zaporozhye Region, within the Russian Federation and Part 5, Article 8 of Federal Constitutional Law No. 8- FKZ dated October 4, 2022, On Accepting the Kherson Region as Part of the Russian Federation and the Formation of a New Constituent Entity – the Kherson Region – within the Russian Federation, the President resolved to approve the Procedure for Coordinating Issues Concerning the Exercise of Public Power in the Zaporozhye Region and the Kherson Region with the Federal Public Authorities.
The Procedure governs the legal relations arising from the formation by the acting Governor of the Zaporozhye Region and the acting Governor of the Kherson Region of the Zaporozhye Region Government and the Kherson Region Government as well as other executive bodies of the above constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as when assigning their functions, prior to completion of the formation of such bodies, to the bodies of the Zaporozhye Region and the Kherson Region that were formed prior to the date these regions were accepted as part of the Russian Federation.
