The Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union was signed by the Presidents of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana on May 29, 2014.
This core document establishes the agreement between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan to establish the Eurasian Economic Union in order to remove barriers in the way of the free movement of goods, services, capital and labour, and for the purpose of implementing a coordinated, coherent or consolidated policy in key economic sectors.
