The Agreement, signed in St Petersburg on June 20, 2025, is intended to foster constructive cooperation between the two states in safeguarding their citizens’ rights and freedoms.
A core provision of the Agreement commits both parties to refrain from interfering in each other’s sovereign affairs through the use of domestic or international criminal justice mechanisms, and from assisting any third party in such actions.
