The President of Uzbekistan arrived in China to take part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit and events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People in the War of Resistance against Japan and the end of World War II.
From the Russian side, the meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, First Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Russian part of the Intergovernmental Russian-Uzbek Commission on Economic Cooperation Denis Manturov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office – Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov, Minister of Energy Sergei Tsivilev, Special Presidential Representative for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries, General Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriyev, and Director General of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom Alexei Likhachev.
