President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made a telephone call to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to express deep condolences and solidarity with the Russian people over the tragic aftermath of the terrorist attacks in Dagestan. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev strongly condemned the barbaric missile attack on civilians in Sevastopol as well. Vladimir Putin thanked him for the words of support.
Both sides emphasised willingness to build up cooperation in fighting terrorism.
The Russian President informed his counterpart about the results of his recent visits to Pyongyang and Hanoi.
Several aspects of further continued expansiondevelopment of Russia-Kazakhstan cooperation in the energy sector were also touched upon as well.
The leaders agreed to maintain personal contacts, including at the SCO summit in Astana on July 3–4.
