Mr Medvedev asked the regional heads and the Education and Science Ministry to adjust education plans and numbers to take into account regions’ specific demands for specialists in particular fields. The President also noted that the modern economy needs more engineers.
Mr Kozhemyako also told the President about the work of the region’s Chinese language centres and the establishment of five Russian language centres at universities in China.
The President expressed his support for these education efforts, given the growing business and tourism ties between Russia and China.
