Official visit to India
In New Delhi, Vladimir Putin met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A joint declaration was adopted and a package of intergovernmental and inter-agency agreements were signed following the talks. Mr Putin and Mr Modi also met with Indian and Russian business community representatives. Mr Putin took part in the International Diamond Conference while in India and also had meetings with Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and President of the Indian National Congress party Sonia Gandhi.
