On behalf of all citizens of the Republic, Miguel Diaz-Canel expressed gratitude for the humanitarian aid Russia provided, including food, medicines, medical supplies and equipment. He noted that this assistance is much needed in Cuba amid the difficult sanitary and epidemiological situation and the external sanctions pressure.
In this connection, both sides emphasised the strategic nature of the Russian-Cuban partnership based on long-standing traditions of friendship and mutual support.
The presidents discussed several specific aspects of the further development of bilateral cooperation and the implementation of promising joint projects, primarily in trade and the economy.
It was agreed to continue the dialogue through various channels.
