During the conversation, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the massive drone attack by the Kiev regime targeting the Russian President's official residence in the Novgorod Region.
Additionally, there was an exchange of views on steps to further strengthen Russia-Iran cooperation in various fields, including energy and transport infrastructure. They also discussed the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear programme.
Masoud Pezeshkian extended a cordial New Year's greeting to Vladimir Putin. In turn, the Russian leader conveyed best wishes to the government and citizens of the Islamic Republic on the occasion of the Iranian holiday of Yalda Night, which was celebrated recently.
