The participants discussed the influence of Russia’s spatial and demographic development on the status of interethnic relations in the regions.
Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko emphasised the importance of considering the provisions of Russia's State Ethnic Policy Strategy until 2025 in drafting the programme for the strategy of Russia’s spatial development. In his opinion, the issues pertaining to the consolidation of the unity of the Russian nation and the harmonisation of interethnic relations should be completely integrated into the national projects and programmes envisaged by the Presidential Executive Order of May 7, 2018, on the National Goals and Strategic Objectives of the Development of the Russian Federation until 2024.
Head of the Federal Agency for Nationality Affairs Igor Barinov informed the participants about progress in adjusting Russia's State Ethnic Policy Strategy until 2025.
