Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Magomedsalam Magomedov, together with Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Siberian Federal District Sergey Menyaylo held an annual seminar conference on implementing the State Ethnic Policy Strategy of the Russian Federation to 2025.
In particular, Magomedsalam Magomedov noted the high rates of public satisfaction with interethnic relations in the Siberian Federal District and stressed the need to regularly update regional documents related to implementing state ethnic policy.
Noting the district specifics, the deputy head of the Presidential Executive Office pointed out the importance of supporting the indigenous peoples of Siberia leading traditional ways of life; complying with laws regarding the study of the official Russian language and the native languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation; expanding the houses of friendship infrastructure (houses of ethnic groups) primarily in multi-ethnic regions and regions under migration pressure.
The seminar conference was attended by Governor of Altai Territory Viktor Tomenko, Governor of Omsk Region Alexander Burkov, representatives of the Presidential Executive Office, the Presidential Council on Interethnic Relations and government bodies of the Russian regions located in the Siberian Federal District, as well as the research and expert community.
Corresponding recommendations were adopted following the meeting.
In addition, during his trip to Altai Territory, Magomedsalam Magomedov held a working meeting with Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Siberian Federal District Sergey Menyaylo and Governor of Altai Territory Viktor Tomenko.
