Trip to Crimean Federal District
Vladimir Putin made a three-day trip to Crimea. In Yalta, he held a State Council Presidium meeting on developing the tourism sector and met with representatives of public associations representing Crimea’s different ethnic groups.
In Sevastopol, the President visited the museum at the newly restored Fort Constantine, the Malakhov Kurgan memorial complex and the Presidential Cadet Academy. Mr Putin also took part in one stage of an expedition organised by the Russian Geographical Society.
The President met with permanent members of the Security Council and chaired a meeting on ensuring law and order in the Crimean Federal District. Mr Putin ended his trip by meeting with American professional boxer Roy Jones.
