Mr Putin will visit one of the country’s biggest defence industry facilities – SPLAV State Research and Production Enterprise, where he will hold a meeting on using the defence industry potential to produce high-tech civilian goods in demand on domestic and export markets. The President will visit an exhibition presenting Russian defence industry companies’ latest civilian developments.
Mr Putin will also take part in the opening ceremony of the Tula Suvorov Military Academy and will visit the Lev Tolstoy Museum and Estate Yasnaya Polnaya, where he will meet with regional community representatives taking part in developing the regional socioeconomic development programme.
