On April 29, President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will take part in commemorative events for the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War to be held in Volgograd.
More specifically, the leaders will tour the memorial complex to the Heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad on Mamayev Kurgan together and will address the final plenary session of the ”Great Heritage, Common Future“ International Forum, held at the initiative of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia.
Additionally, the presidents will hold a separate conversation to discuss current issues pertaining to the strategic partnership and allied relationship between Russia and Belarus.
The Russian President's schedule also includes a working meeting with Volgograd Region Governor Andrei Bocharov.
