At the conference, the President noted that the strategic goal of the development of the Russian Far East was to revive the region’s economy, integrate it into Russian and global economic processes, and create conditions for the local residents’ normal life and work.
He said the region should focus on the development of rail and air transport, port facilities, the fleet, communications and the energy sector.
The participants also discussed prospects for connecting the Trans-Korean and the Trans-Siberian railways.
