President Putin’s second live call-in show was broadcasted by the federal channels One and Rossiya, as well as by the radio stations Mayak and Radio Rossii. TV cameras were installed in ten regions – Khabarovsk, Chelyabinsk, Krasnodar, Bashkiria, Vladikavkaz, Nizhny Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Dubna, outside Moscow, Stavropol and in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.

About one and a half million questions for the President were received during the preparations for the show. Most of them concerned social issues – living standards, housing, wages, and pensions. Other problems that concerned Russians dealt with the economy, tax reform, business/power relations, education, science, culture and the media. Next came questions related to foreign policy, the army, military reform, and crime control.

During the show, which lasted 2 hours 40 minutes, the President answered 50 questions.
