Mr Medvedev presented the President his draft of a new structure for the Presidential Executive Office.
He said that the new agency would be more compact in order to meet modern requirements. Branch offices will be consolidated to streamline state management. According to Mr Medvedev, if the draft is approved, the Presidential Executive Office will cooperate with the new Government more effectively.
President Putin approved Mr Medvedev’s proposals and, following the meeting, signed the decree “On the Presidential Executive Office”. The decree outlined the new structure of the agency, officials’ powers and covered some issues related to its operation.
The decree instructed the Chief of Staff to reorganise the Presidential Executive Office and inform its personnel about the forthcoming changes.
The Chief of Staff was also instructed to submit the Statute of the Presidential Executive Office, endorse its structure and the staff schedule of branch offices.
