Meeting with Transport Minister Igor Levitin.
The meeting discussed developing the transport infrastructure in the south of Russia.
The country’s southern regions account for around 30 percent of total goods and passenger transport, but the transport network in the area is not evenly developed. The Transport Ministry plans to review the transport concept in the region in order to harmonise road, rail, sea and air transport routes so as to reduce freight and passenger transport costs and ensure security.
One of the priority tasks is to develop sea transport between Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia.
