Speaking at the II All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress, President Vladimir Putin particularly stressed the importance of decisively fighting nationalism and extremism – a breeding ground for terrorists and their accomplices.
The state and society should react immediately to any manifestations of xenophobia and religious intolerance and take firm action to prevent their spread.
Russia and Azerbaijan are on the same side of the fence in the fight against international terrorism, Mr Putin emphasised.
