The talks resulted in the adoption of a joint declaration by the two Presidents on Russian-Brazilian cooperation on peaceful space programmes.
The following bilateral documents were signed during President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Brazil:
A trilateral cooperation agreement between Vnesheconombank and Roseximbank and the Brazilian National Bank for Social and Economic Development;
A cooperation agreement between Vneshtorgbank and the Brazilian National Bank for Social and Economic Development;
A convention between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income;
A general cooperation agreement between Russia’s Zarubezhneft company and Brazilian state-owned company Petrobraz;
An agreement between the Russian Federal Agency for Physical Culture and Sport and the Brazilian Sports Ministry on cooperation in physical culture and sports;
A memorandum of understanding between the Russian Federal Space Agency and the Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology on space cooperation;
A memorandum of understanding on electrical telecommunications between the Russian Ministry of Information Technology and Communications and the Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency;
A scientific and technical cooperation programme between the Russian and Brazilian governments for 2004–2006;
A cultural, educational and sports exchange programme between the Russian and Brazilian governments for 2005–2007.
