Russian athletes have always been distinguished for their strong character and determination to win, and these qualities will be the guarantee of the Russian team’s success at the upcoming Olympic Games, Mr Putin said at a meeting with head of the Russian Olympic Committee Leonid Tyagachev and Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov.
Russia’s Olympic team should get all the necessary administrative, legal and medical support it needs to compete for the best results, and the Olympic Committee should think of and take care of the rest, Mr Putin said.
