Russia is one of the world’s leaders when measured by economic growth, something that ensures a stable inflow of investments into the national economy, Vladimir Putin declared at the opening of the 10th Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum. The total volume of foreign investments in the Russian economy has attained the 112 billion dollar mark.
Russian companies are becoming full participants in the international economy and are already starting to invest in multinational corporations. This is more than just an indicator of the competitiveness of Russian companies, it is also proof of their profitability and aspirations to conform to international standards concerning management and transparency, the head of state pointed out.
In Vladimir Putin’s opinion, Russia’s full participation in global cooperation will help resolve various global problems, such as prevent the destabilization of the international financial system, mitigate the significant differences between the development of the world’s richest and poorest countries, and help ensure global security, including energy security.
