They discussed crucial aspects of Russian-Turkmenistan cooperation and, in particular, cooperation in the fuel and energy sectors and the cultural and educational spheres. They also discussed problems concerning cooperation between special services and military departments in the struggle against international terrorism, illegal drug trafficking, and transnational organised crime.
The heads of state discussed finding a settlement for the Caspian’s legal status. Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov declared that Russia and Turkmenistan will reactivate the Caspian project to sell Turkmenistan’s gas after further discussions with experts.
