Acting President Vladimir Putin instructed to urgently find out through diplomatic channels the circumstances of the detention of Russian reporters in the capital of Belarus and to secure their release

Shooting crews of the Russian ORT, VGTRK and NTV television channels were detained in central Minsk while covering unauthorised opposition rallies.

The instructions of the acting head of state were fulfilled. After the Russian Ambassador to Belarus intervened the Russian news reporters were released. The result was reported to Mr Putin.
