The President expressed his concern about the situation on the border of Kosovo and Macedonia. At present, the situation in the Balkans is developing along the lines of the worst-case scenario, as the Russian side predicted, and nobody knows how to cope with the armed Albanian separatists, Mr Putin said.
On the instructions of the President, Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov flew to the Balkans to discuss the situation with the parties concerned.
