Mr Putin and Mr Rakhmonov, who had arrived in Moscow on a routine visit, met at the Russian President’s country residence near Moscow.
They discussed bilateral cooperation against the threat of international terrorism, the situation in Central Asia and around Afghanistan, matters related to preparations for the Shanghai forum in China, and Russian-Tajik trade and economic partnership.
