Having examined the proposals submitted by the Presidential Council for Science and Education, the President resolved to award the 2015 Presidential Prize in Science and Innovation for Young Scientists and the honorary title of laureate of the Presidential Prize to:
– Dmitry Kopchuk, PhD in Chemistry, researcher at the Postovsky Institute of Organic Synthesis of the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Ural Branch and junior researcher at the Boris Yeltsin Ural Federal University, for new luminescent and functional materials for molecular devices of various purposes;
– Yekaterina Proshkina, PhD in Biology, researcher at the Institute of Biology of the Komi Science Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Ural Branch, for her contribution to the genetics of life span and aging;
– Vladimir Stegailov, Doctor of Science in Physics and Mathematics, section head at the Joint Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences, for a series of developments in supercomputer multiscale modelling of materials under extreme conditions.
