Magomedsalam Megomedov commented on the positive dynamics in interethnic relations in the regions of the Central Federal District. He used the high numbers of Belgorod and Smolensk regions as examples and also noted the significant improvements in Moscow and Moscow Region over the last four years.
Mr Megomedov stressed the urgent need to renew regional plans on the implementation of the State National Policy Strategy until 2025.
“It is important that these documents really work, that they are related to our goals and tasks, are funded, and have clear, tangible results,” he emphasised.
The meeting participants focused on the wellbeing of the Russian people and their ethnic and cultural development in the context of implementing the state national policy as well as the support of regional interethnic cooperation platforms and the constant analysis of migration flows in the district’s regions.
During the meetings, the participants, senior regional officials and experts discussed the situation, and corresponding decisions were adopted following the session.
During his trip to Smolensk Region, Magomedsalam Megomedov held a working meeting with Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Central Federal District Igor Shchegolev and Smolensk Region Governor Alexei Ostrovsky.
