Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Igor Sechin informed Dmitry Medvedev of this development, noting that the documents fully correspond to the instructions given by the President.
Mr Medvedev emphasised that Russia has two priorities in building cooperation with Belarus. First, it is imperative to act in the interest of the Russian economy and in accordance with Russian legislation. Second, it is important to fully develop agreements pertaining to the creation and activities of the Customs Union between Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, as well as the subsequent creation and operation of the Common Economic Space.
