The two leaders spoke out in favour of strengthening traditionally friendly relations between Russia and Senegal in trade, the economy, and investment, including by undertaking promising joint projects in energy, transport, agriculture, and in particular, by having more Russian businesses work with their partners in Senegal on a wider scale.
They also discussed developments in the Sahara and Sahel region and in West Africa against the backdrop of persisting instability there caused by terrorist groups.
Vladimir Putin invited Bassirou Diomaye Faye to visit Russia, and the Senegalese President accepted this invitation with gratitude.
