Trip to Kazan. Russia–ASEAN Summit
During his two–day visit to Kazan, Vladimir Putin took part in the Russia-ASEAN summit. Following the meeting, a package of documents was endorsed, and the President of Russia and President of the Philippines Ferdinand Marcos delivered their press statements.
On the sidelines of the summit, the Russian President held bilateral meetings with the leaders of the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, Timor Leste, Cambodia, and with the Turkish Foreign Minister.
Additionally, on June 17, prior to the official events of the summit, Vladimir Putin visited the Cathedral of the Annunciation and the Kul Sharif Mosque in the Kazan Kremlin, where he spoke with parishioners.
On June 18, in conclusion of the trip, the President held a working meeting with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, during which a large-capacity LNG compressor unit production facility in Zelenodolsk was launched via a video link.
