During the meeting with Valery Radayev, the issues of implementing the President’s Address to the Federal Assembly and the role of advanced technology in economic development were discussed. German Klimenko noted that only Saratov Region had universities to train high-quality specialists who could resolve tasks related to import substitution, IT, healthcare and other important areas.
The Presidential Adviser noted that leading Russian internet companies were ready to take part in joint projects in the region.
German Klimenko spoke at the plenary session of the economic forum and attended the Digital Region: Development Prospects discussion panel, where a wide range of issues was discussed such as the digitalisation of the public sector as a development trend in the contemporary regional economy; increasing the regions’ competitiveness based on IT projects; digital technology in financial markets and in personnel training, and the social advantages of digitalisation.
The presidential adviser also met with the student team of the Computer Sciences and Information Technology Department at Chernyshevsky Saratov State University, which had won the right to represent Russia at the International Programming Contest in Beijing, and wished the young programmers success in the upcoming competition.
