On June 28, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Magomedsalam Magomedov took part in a meeting held to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of Magomed-Salam Umakhanov (1918–1992), who fought in the Great Patriotic War and after it held state and party positions, making a great contribution to the development of the Republic of Daghestan in the second half of the 20th century.
Magomedsalam Magomedov read out a message of greetings from Vladimir Putin at the meeting, which was attended by Federation Council Deputy Speaker Ilyas Umakhanov, Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov, as well as the Daghestani leadership and other officials.
On June 29, Magomedsalam Magomedov met with Acting Head of Daghestan Vladimir Vasilyev to discuss the socioeconomic development of the republic and ethnic and religious relations in the region. The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office emphasised the importance of implementing the tasks and attaining the goals set out by the President of Russia in the Executive Order On National Goals and Strategic Objectives of the Russian Federation through to 2024 to improve living standards in Daghestan.
