Participants in the meeting of the standing commission of the Presidential Council for Cossack Affairs to promote the development of Cossack education discussed the organisation of activities of Cossack cadet corps and other educational organisations implementing education programmes based on the historical and traditional values of Russian Cossacks.

The meeting was attended by the heads of Cossack cadet corps, representatives of Cossack military societies, the Russian Orthodox Church, and executive government bodies from 25 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
The meeting participants discussed the holding in 2021 of the National Cossack Youth Games, the Cossack Flash national military sports game and the Ready for Labour and Defence National Cossack Youth Forum. These and other events are held as part of the State Policy Strategy of the Russian Federation Regarding Russian Cossacks for 2021–2030.
The participants emphasised the importance of bringing up the young generation in the spirit of traditional values of the Russian Cossacks. They supported the expansion of the network of Cossack cadet corps, including their creation in the Trans-Baikal, Krasnoyarsk, Stavropol and Khabarovsk territories and the Irkutsk, Omsk and Orenburg regions.
The meeting took place at the Yeysk Cossack Cadet Corps (Krasnodar Territory) that won the competition for the title of the Best Cadet Corps in 2020.
