Detailed reports were delivered on modern healthcare trends in developed foreign countries and the experience of dealing with the pandemic of the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus (the Omicron variant). According to experts, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused serious changes in the healthcare policies of developed countries, raising the importance of preventive measures and increasing the level of healthcare system resources use. The pandemic has expedited the transition to more effective models of providing primary care assistance in neighbourhoods, as well as remote medical services using digital technologies.

The meeting participants also reviewed the implementation of Presidential instructions following the State Council Presidium meeting, held on October 31, 2019, on the tasks of the Russian Federation regions in the field of healthcare

The participants submitted proposals on various matters, due to be discussed at the State Council Presidium meeting, based on which a relevant report will be prepared.
