Taking part in the meeting were Amur Region Governor Vasily Orlov, Trans-Baikal Territory Governor Alexander Osipov, Kursk Region Governor Roman Starovoit, deputies of top officials from the Russian regions, as well as representatives of the State Duma, relevant federal executive bodies, Russian Railways, shipping companies, expert organisations and development institutions.
In his opening remarks, Igor Levitin stressed the importance of continuing active work to organise coal shipments by rail in 2022 considering the latest economic developments.
The reports and speeches covered issues aimed at minimising technological risks when transporting cargo to ports and border crossing points, as well as proposals on organisational measures and regulatory improvements in order to ensure continuous coal shipments.
